As for visits back home, we try to get back to Memphis every chance we can. When we first moved it was during a long stretch of holidays, so it seemed like we were visiting a lot more frequently. We’re hoping to get back for another visit real soon. And we’ll certainly give you a heads up. Look forward to seeing you up here in Chicago too!

Funny that you mentioned the Beach Boys vs. The Beatles show. I ran into Robby Grant at a Grizzlies game while I was in town, and he mentioned enjoying that show. I wish that I had had more time to put that together. But I did that show a few hours after we had gotten into Memphis from the Chicago drive. And I didn’t have all my records to grab material. I had only thought of the show idea on that morning before we left for the highway. As for a playlist, I can’t recall if I wrote down the songs that I played or not. If I did, I certainly didn’t keep up with the sheet of paper.

i got a message yesterday from summer…. she got a new car, too, ya know? (is it crass to mention my new car? i love it so much. i mean, it’s only a budget car, but it is my dream car seriously. and it has air conditioning unlike my old one, so i won’t have to go thru another hot sticky car summer in memphis.) anywho, and she wants to take her new car or my new car up to chicago and drag you guys to some shows!! i think this is a GREAT idea. :)

ps. i know i keep saying “i’m comin up to chicago for a visit,” but i really mean it this time when i say i’m comin up in june to visit my friend kayce. we must get together then. also, do you guys make frequent trips to memphis? it seems like i heard that hayden was here sometimes to do his show? please let me know next time you are here.

pps. hayden, do you have a playlist for that beach boys/beatles show you did a month or so back? or possibly even a recording of it?!

also, you MUST go see electrelane!! i think they are playing like 3 dates in chicago, aren’t they? no excuse not to go!!
