Nah, I'm onboard with this too. I've spent a ton of time with both mixes. I basically agree that the WA - stereo vs. mono - is a mixed bag. For me, While My Guitar Gently Weeps; Long, Long, Long; and Revolution 1 are wonderful in stereo. Beyond that, I'm just about all in the mono camp. Where do you stand, Hayden?
As long as we're going down the rabbit hole, do you know the black triangle Abbey Road? Kind of an amazing thing...

I actually took Abbey Road for a spin on the turntable this past weekend. My beat up Apple, Scranton pressing that I've owned since I was a teenager. I had never heard of the Black Triangle Abbey Road. Rabbit hole, indeed! Info I found out about it came form here. And apparently, there is a Dark Side of the Moon Black Triangle, too?
Speaking of DSOTM, I sold my beat up teenage copy a few years back. Then regretted it, and I bought the 2016 reissue. Only there just seems to be something off about the reissue that bugs me. So I rebought a `73 pressing. This hobby is ridiculous!
As for The White Album, I bought the mono vinyl reissue that came out a few years back. And I thoroughly enjoy it. With The Beatles, I feel like if you dig the album, you're going to want both versions. (I linked to a Peter Asher interview under the "Share an Article" thread, and Asher mentions regret that they never released the mono Abbey Road.) One day I may pick up the stereo reissue of The White Album, which I've heard and does sound nice. But I'll never replace it with my original stereo pressing, complete with all the inserts (lyrics sheet/fold-out poster, glossy band photos). Below is a photo of my copy with the former owner's name on it plus a flower power sticker that was removed from the cover:
