(A freezing cameraman does his best to keep the shot steady.)
Despite the bitter cold temperatures, the Sox get things done with a 3-0 win over the Minnesota Twins. So here we go, my 9 comments:
1. Over 33,000 fans attended today’s game with wind shield factors of 10 degrees!
2. It just doesn’t seem right when you can see the player’s breath.
3. Do you remember in little league how much it would hurt to make contact with a ball on cold days? I can’t imagine the type of pain the players today had to endure.

4.. Former Cub’s Mark Grace was one the game’s commentators. Now that’s a name I remember from my old baseball cheering days.
5. Another Sox is hit by a baseball. This time it’s Jermaine Dye who’s hit right on the ribs from a hundred mile pitch.
6. My favorite comment on South Side Sox today was regarding the Sox fans’ pestamistic attitude, “This site (and Sox fans in general) has gotten very depressing over the past year and a half. We’re kind of…whiners.”
7. I got to see my first televised Sox home run of the season, provided by Juan Uribe.
8. No matter how many times you’ve seen them, home runs are still exciting to see, whether they’re in person or on the Tube.
9. I had gotten myself a slice of deep dish pizza (from My Pizza Pie) to eat while watching the game. Unfortunately, I got the starting time wrong so I had to eat it watching the Cubs’ game.
